The National Statistical Office (NSO), Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI), periodically publishes reports based on the Periodic Labour Force Survey (PLFS). The Worker Population Ratio (WPR) is a key indicator that reflects the percentage of employed individuals within the total population. According to the PLFS Annual Report (July 2023 – June 2024), the overall WPR in usual status for persons aged 15 years and above was 58.2% during the period July 2023 – June 2024.
